ORBs
"When is and orb not just Dust?"
Like it or not they have to be addressed, just because we have no proof either way we have to count orbs as a long standing part of the paranormal field. Orbs are mistakenly called a digital phenomena with researchers and debunkers alike using the excuse that orbs are products of digital cameras. Though there is a lot of evidence that does in fact suggest that the lens and flash configurations on small hand held digital cameras may help to create orbs in digital photos. There is also evidence of orb photography from much older film cameras, and though the orbs are not as bright and defined as they can be with some digitals the point is they are present. So what are they?
It is generally accepted that orbs are dust, nothing more than dust that is close to the lens and lighted by the flash when the picture is taken. I have personally witnessed this and yes it is possible to create "orbs" in the right conditions, dusty and shooting against a dark back ground. I have seen cases where I can say 100% there was dust present, and I have seen cases where I can say no there was no dust present nor was there air current to blow it around. I have purposely tried to create orbs, above ground in the dry and wet, and below ground in caves where water was falling and in my attempts to create them I have seldom achieved successes. In fact I have caught most orbs while not intentionally looking for them. Don't get me wrong I am not stating that orbs are directly related to paranormal events I am only stating that there may be deeper questions regarding the formations of "dust". If ghosts can affect the EMF or can produce electrostatic effects then it goes to reason that we could assume that "dust" would be affected by such energy manipulations. So when is an orb not just dust? They may not be nothing more than dust but that dusts characteristics may be being affected from something measurable and something that we call paranormal.
