Jo-Mar's Pet shop - Nitro WV
The owners have asked us to post
that they are not interested in any further investigations.
The
structure was built in the early 1900s, it has been a produce store, a sports
shop and a garage before Jo-Mar's Pet shop moved into it in the 70s. Activity
there has been reported by the owner and shop patrons. The most noticeable
activity began shortly after construction had begun in the backroom of the
shop. Around this time shadowy images were seen on the store camera and in
one case witnessed by several people and the shop dog. This was the first
investigation under the "Ghost Watch" name and is documented in
the video clip below.
The investigation started shortly after the shop closed. We started by ruling out the high EMFs caused by the aquariums in particular the pumps on the systems which were causing EMFs that fluctuated wildly. After taking a few pictures in the from area of the shop we moved into the back room where the construction had started. We conducted and EVP session and a K2 session wile using a Tri-field to take readings. Though the area was high in noise pollution (pumps for the main system) we did manage to catch several good EVPs.
"OK" Pretty clear and loud, this was recorded on both the digital audio recorder and the actual film camera.
"Name" Following "What's your name?" there seems to be an immediate answer.
"Name Loop " This is the name section only.
As far as evidence goes, there was nothing substantial except the EVPs. All anomalous readings on the meters were attributed to stray EMF from the pumps. Since the investigation there has been little to no activity at the shop.

Update:
In December 2009 GWRIP returned for a follow up investigation at the shop. The investigation yielded some interesting results. Most notably a group of EVPs and several personal experiences. Temperature drops were noted to correlate to a Class A EVP, and an actual audio phenomena was witnessed but upon reviewing audio it was not present.
"It's Cold in Here" Recorded in an area where we were getting temperature drops of 5 degrees below baseline.
"Your Nice" Following an invitation to say hi we get what sounds like, "Your so nice." This one has only been amplified no further alterations have been made.
"The Green" We have no idea about this one, but it seems to say. "He has green or greed". Then after the investigator says "Hmm", We hear what sounds like another voice say. "It was a thousand." This one has been filtered to remove some of the back ground noise.
"See and hear us?" Pretty self explanatory, seems a direct answer to the statement. This one has been amplified only.
"Giggle" A giggle following one of our investigators requests. Also amplified, no further processing.
